Interesting dividend yielding stocks for the week of 11/16/2009

ELU - Stock price is 10.97, dividend is 0.693 and the Ex dividend date is 11/19/2009. This is pretty stable at 11.00 all this year, so very likely to bounce back after the Ex-dividend date. Generall most of the dividend yielding stocks rise before the ex-dividend date, since this is a Semi-Annual dividend the worst case scenarios is that we will have to wait for another 6 months before it bounces back after the Ex-dividend date.

NTII - Stock price is 0.92, dividend price is 0.75 and the Ex-dividend date is 11/19/2009. This is a special dividend so one has to hold it till the payment date. The good thing is that the payment date is 11/19/2009 so we just need to hold it for one day. Most of the times, these stocks bounce back few cents more than the starting price which means the gains are instantaneous. The bad news is that the volume on this stock is very bad.

STE - Stock price is 34.73, dividend price is 2.11 and the Ex-dividend date is 11/20/2009. This stock is at 52 week high and since the dividend is pretty big amount, there is a risk that the stock might not bounce back quickly. This is also a special dividend so the chance of it to quickly bounce back (in the next 3 months) is hard.
